Shaylee-ism's

Well, I think it's cute when we get to hear what little kids say, so I'm going to tell you some of the things Shay says from time to time:

1) Jamin' (this is a actually a person. Guesses on who it is? I'll give you a hint: this person is a relative.)
2) Did ya like me?
3) I can open it for ya!
4) It sure is...(raining in here, fun, etc)
5) (Name) is my best friend! (This has been any number of people. Play with her once, and it can be you too!)
6) (Chocolate, Disney Channel, ect)...is my favorite and my best! (She picked this up from Charlie and Lola. Too cute.)
7) Swimming-baby-capping-suit (Swimsuit)

Well, I can't think of any more right now. I'm sure all I have to do is call home and talk to her, and I'll get a few more. You know how it is!

I get to go camping!

Hooray! I get to go camping this weekend! I've been dying to go camping for months, and my opportunity has finally arrived! We're going to a gorgeous site, Mirror Lake. I can't wait! If only I had a great camera to take my scenic pictures with...Sigh. Well, when I get back I will post some pictures anyway!

Oh, Janan...

Okay, so I have a funny story. (Well it's funny to me) So, I saw a couple of movies recently. I had a lot of fun. I saw Stardust last weekend with Janan. And this week I saw Becoming Jane (also with Janan, Serena (a friend of mine), and the Welch's). As we are leaving the movie theater Janan grabs my arm and points to a poster for Stardust. "Jamie! You have to see that movie!" she says...
Oh, Janan. Are you really that old? Okay, I can see how she might forget once. But, the same thing happened last week when we went to see Stardust! Again, we're leaving the movie theater, talking about movies, and Janan says, "Jamie! Hot Fuzz is coming out on DVD! You have to see it!" (And yes, she took me to see that one, too.)
Oh well, at least I now know that I'm not memorable!!!!!!!!

Wendy, help me!

I was trying to switch my background so that the design would be on the sides, and the solid color in the middle...and I don't know what happened to it, but now I have no color! What did I do wrong??

New Job

Okay, as most of you know, I started a new job a few weeks ago. My job seems to be lots and lots of small, simple tasks. Well, yesterday I was in charge of a not so small and simple task, and it was fun. I need to come up with lunch once a month for Staff Meetings. So, I got to go around and buy stuff, pick stuff up, set up, take down, and return stuff (like containers from BYU Take Out. I had a great time! I got to get away from the office, buy things with someone else's money, listen to my music and sing really loud in the car. So I'm pretty sure that staff meetings is the silver lining to this job. I think I'll keep at it....

My major weakness

So, I have discovered what one of my major weaknesses is. (Said out loud, that sounds wrong...) Not to far in the distant past, Jeff really didn't feel like attending all of our Sunday meetings. Now, I'll not say that I've never had this same feeling, however, I can talk myself into going anyway, because I know that I should. Well, Jeff also knows, in order to get me on board, that he can't offer me just anything...like laz-ing (sp?) around the house, or shopping, or anything like that. So, smart man that he is, he offers me something I almost never get from him willingly...family pictures. It was a gorgeous day outside, and I love love love to have pictures of my kiddies and of all of us, really. So, I cave. It was worth it to me. I think we had such a nice time together, out in the mountains, just being together. Anyway, take a look at the slideshow. And I think you'll begin to understand why it is a major weakness for me...

Trying to be better

Alright, family. You asked for it, so I'm trying to be better about doing this. I guess I have to now that you know about it, right? No, really, I am excited to do it. It'll be fun!
I had a lot of fun yesterday, seeing almost all of my cousins from Uncle Pauls family! It's been years, but it didn't feel like it once we were together! Now I remember why we always had so much fun. I told my husband that I really liked seeing all of you, and he said he was surprised, because I've been married to him for 6 years, and he's never met any of you. So, I take that as a challenge for me to see you all more often. Anyone else going to accept this challenge?? And will someone please send me one of the pictures we took so that I can also post it here? Thanks! You guys are great.
